Case Study of Slope Behavior Monitoring by the Observation King

Introduction to the behavior monitoring of steep slope surfaces affected by the Kumamoto earthquake.

The case study titled "Monitoring Behavior of Steep Slope" is based on the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in April 2016. To ensure a prompt emergency response to the rockfall on the national highway and to fully reopen the road, monitoring was conducted while implementing one-lane alternating traffic. The monitoring involved the installation of a "total station" on the opposite side of the collapsed slope, along with surveillance cameras positioned to provide a comprehensive view of the entire collapsed slope for real-time automatic monitoring. In steep slope areas, monitoring using a total station proved effective, allowing not only measurement data but also image verification, which enabled a cross-check to understand the behavior of the collapsed surface. [Features] ■ Response to sediment disasters caused by the Kumamoto earthquake ■ Monitoring of steep slopes using a total station *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Bidirectional Remote Automatic Monitoring System "Observation King"

Data measured on-site is transmitted to our server using mobile phone lines, and the visualized data is delivered to customers via the internet!

"The Observation King" automatically transmits data from local observation equipment to our monitoring server, where it is graphed and distributed via the internet, while also allowing remote control of the observation equipment. This is the base system for our proposed measurement, monitoring, and alert service, the "K3-System Case 3 System." [Features] ■ Bidirectional communication between observation stations and monitoring stations (Observation station: data communication, monitoring station: equipment control) ■ Direct control of local loggers from the monitoring station PC ■ Real-time data distribution and continuous monitoring ■ Data viewing via web browser ■ Proven connectivity with various measurement devices *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
